AMPMODU 2 mm Receptacles and Headers

TE Connectivity's (TE) AMPMODU 2 mm connector family includes a variety of reliable board-to-board receptacles and breakaway headers. This connector family offers up to 25 positions per row, available in both single- and double-row configurations, and comes in bulk, tube, and tape-and-reel packaging to suit different types of product handling systems. The AMPMODU family is available for automated surface mounting, through-hole reflow/pin-in-paste (THR/PIP), and traditional through-hole mounting onto boards.

AMPMODU 2 mm board-to-board receptacles utilize phosphor bronze contacts with dual cantilever beams that are available in three gold plating options. The dual-beam design provides an increased contact surface between the header pin and the receptacle contact to allow a reliable signal transfer. The complete portfolio includes various top- and dual-entry vertical and horizontal receptacles that offer multiple options for board-to-board stacking of header and receptacle combinations.

The AMPMODU board-to-board and wire-to-board headers have a centerline of 2 mm (0.079"), which saves almost 38% space on the board when compared to the standard 2.54 mm (0.1") centerline and allows customers to build more functionality onto their boards. The connectors are intermateable and can be paired with most receptacles from major brands in the market, providing customers with a wide range of options for PCB assembly.
