Industrial PCs get Gen 9 and Xeon E processors

Called KISS V3 CFL, they come in 1U, 2U and 4U formats.
“Thanks to their resistance to high temperatures as well as shock and vibration, combined with high performance and extensive memory options, the KISS V3 rackmount systems are ideal for use in demanding industrial environments and with performance-hungry applications,” according to the company.
There are two Gigabit Ethernet ports and ten USB ports for comms.
Memory is DDR 4 UDIMM 2,666MHz, through four DIMM sockets with up to 64Gbyte, with an option on ECC memory, for the Xeon E variants.
Optional redundant power supply units according to the new safety standard IEC62368-1 are available to increase reliability. “Especially for AI and machine learning applications, a 1,200W AC power supply is available which allows the installation of up to three high end GPU cards,” said Kontron.
The systems can withstand ambient operation in ambients between 0°C and +50°C, and 10 to 93% humidity. The memory is good for -20°C up to +70°C. Average operating time, according to Kontron, is over 50,000h (~six years).
Customised front covers are available.
